Programme Structure and Content

The foundation degree programme is scheduled to be studied part-time over a minimum of two years. Each component of the course in worth 20 credits. Modules include:

• Policy and Legislation
• Models of Catechesis
• Understanding the Human Person
• Innovation and Creativity in Youth Ministry
• Introduction to Christian Spirituality
• Introduction to World Religions
• Mission and Evangelisation in the Church
• Global Perspectives on Youth Ministry

No. The course presumes participants are working in Youth Ministry already. Prospective students who wish to apply should arrange with their local sponsoring church or religious group for placements on a paid or voluntary basis before completeing their application form.

I am not ordained. Can I still do this degree?

Yes. The degree is open to anyone working in Youth Ministry
