X-PLOSION

 

Over 700 young people from London and Hertfordshire gathered on Sunday 5th November 2006 at All Saints Pastoral Centre for X-plosion 06. X-plosion is an annual ecumenical event for young people by United Reformed Church Youth Services, Diocese of Westminster SPEC and the Anglican Diocese of St. Albans Youth Service. Now in its sixth year, X-plosion is an opportunity for young Christians to meet, socialise and worship together.

 

The afternoon began with some confirmation and post-confirmation youth groups arriving to do workshops with CAFOD and the SPEC team, on themes including the Live Simply campaign, dance and drama, and meditation. A Youth Mass, led by the SPEC team, with drama and music, led into the main X-plosion event.

 

The main focus of X-plosion is a prayer concert with modern Christian music. X-plosion 06 featured performances from the fantastic thebandwithnoname and the Bright lights All-Stars Crossbeam. The evening came to an end with a dazzling firework display.
