ACCOMODATION
The SPEC Centre has simple dorm style accomodation. There are a total of 50 beds available. If group numbers exceed this capacity there may be up to 26 beds available in Chantry Lodge. Other extra beds may also be available.

The SPEC dining room has a capacity of 60 - 100. All meals are served here for those who are on residential retreats. There is also another Dining Room available in Chantry Lodge that has a capacity of 40.

LOUNGES

There are lounges in SPEC for small group work, meetings, workshops or socialising.

The SPEC Chapel is a large chapel where prayer, worship, liturgy, meditation and spiritual exploration takes place. It's woderful space at the heart of the SPEC Community. Another smaller Chapel of the Risen Christ is located at the top of the centre and holds the blessed sacrament. There are other prayerful spaces on site.

ACTIVITIES

ROPES COURSE

The ropes course has been designed to help young people challenge themselves and to help one another. We have specially trained team members to lead this activity and is only available to groups if a SPEC team member is supervising. The ropes course is usually a part of all residential retreats and occasionally on a day programme. This activity can be available for groups running their own programme for an extra cost.

ARCHERY

There is an archery range on site and SPEC has qualified archery instructors to run this activity with groups.

GAMES ROOM + BIKES

We have a games room that has 3 pool tables and an Air Hockey Table. Mountain bikes are often available for groups to use also

BEAUTIFUL GROUNDS

SPEC is situated in 72 acres of beautiful grounds. There are plenty of places to go for walks, play football or relax outdoors. Chantry Island is a special place of interest in the grounds as it was the place St Alban (England's first Martyr and Saint) was arrested. There are remnants of a chapel on the island and todat we use the island often as a place to pray, enjoy games and have bonfire nights.
