| Programmes for secondary groups follow a sequence of themes from Year 7 to Year 9, focussing on issues that are relevant for these age groups such as friendship, identity and the choices we make in life. We aim to show them the relevance of Jesus and his teachings to these contemporary themes.
Residential programmes can last for up to 5 days and we can welcome up to 36 children (18 boys and 18 girls) into our purpose-converted accommodation. Day-retreats for up to 60 are usually run in a different building known as ‘Loft Towers’. Occasionally we run day retreats for larger numbers when space and staffing allow. We get few requests for residential retreats for years 7-9 although the option for them remains open.
Our programmes for primary-age children have been developed, tried, tested and adapted over the past few years into their current successful format. More recently we have re-organised our secondary programme for years 7-9 and we have been pleased to find that the revised themes, format and content are successfully connecting with the young people who come and visit us.
We can, of course, adapt our programmes to ensure they meet any specific needs for your group. |
